Candleholder draws from Curiel’s early education in grouting techniques learned while assisting her father at work. Using common construction materials, Curiel explores the relationship between material and movement through hand-shaped, textured surfaces. Designed to hold a standard taper candle, the piece is available in sizes that accommodate one or more candles. While color and texture may be replicated, each structure remains distinct in composition and surface variation. Select versions are available with metal candle cups in brass, chrome, or iron finishes.
